  • Small layout changes

Non-structural partition walls framed, openings added and shelving moved when a store or office changes its layout.

One contact

Carpentry booked through the team that cleans your site.

If we already clean your store or office, you don't need to find a carpenter. Tell your Emera contact what's broken. We book the carpentry and log the job in the same app as your cleaning.

  • Sawdust cleared on the next clean. Our cleaning crew picks up what the repair leaves behind.
  • One invoice. Carpentry is billed with your cleaning.
  • Photos when it's done. The finished job is photographed and logged for you to sign off.

About commercial carpentry

Questions about carpentry on a working site.

What store and office managers ask before booking door, shelving or counter work.

Ask us a question
What commercial carpentry work do you do?

Emera does carpentry repairs and small fit-out work on commercial sites, such as doors and frames, shelving and storage, counters and display joinery, skirting and trims, and panels damaged by forklifts or trolleys.

We also make small layout changes, such as framing a non-structural partition wall. Structural and large building work needs a registered builder, and we don't take it on.

Can you repair or replace commercial doors?

Yes. Emera repairs and replaces timber and solid-core doors, frames and architraves, and fixes hinges, closers and locks.

Roller doors, automatic doors and frameless glass doors are specialist work that we don't do. At the site visit, we'll tell you if yours needs a specialist.

Are your tradespeople licensed and insured?

Yes. Each tradesperson Emera sends holds the licence or registration their trade needs in Victoria, and carries public liability insurance and WorkCover.

Our app holds every licence and certificate of currency, and warns us 30 days before one expires. Ask, and we'll send you copies before the job starts. See the checks behind everyone we send.

Can you work before we open or after we close?

Yes. Emera books cleaning and trade work around your opening hours, early in the morning, in the evening or on a weekend, so we stay out of the way of your customers and staff.

If a job needs the power or water off, or makes noise or fumes, we agree the time with you before we book it.

Can one company look after our cleaning and maintenance, and why does that help?

Yes. Emera's crews do the cleaning, and licensed tradespeople we work with do the repairs and trade jobs. Emera books and manages both.

You get one contact, one induction and one record of the work. When a cleaner spots a leaking tap or a broken door closer, it goes in the same report, and we can book the fix.

How do you price trade and maintenance jobs?

Emera prices each trade or maintenance job on what it involves, including labour, materials, access and the time of day the work is done. Small jobs can be priced from your photos, and bigger ones start with a site visit.

You get the scope and price in writing before any work starts. If we find more once we're on site, we stop and agree the extra with you before going on.
