Licensed electrical work

Commercial electricians in Melbourne.

Failed lights, dead power points and tripping circuits at offices, warehouses, shops and factories. Licensed electricians do the work, booked through Emera for a time when your power can go off.

Tell us about the fault or the job.

Say when power can go off at your site. We plan the work around that window.

Already an Emera client?

Report a light or power fault where you report cleaning issues.

Our cleaners work your site after hours, so they often see the flickering light or the dead power point first. They can log it in our app with a photo. You approve the repair with the same contact who runs your cleaning.

  • Faults seen after hours. Cleaners log failed lights and damaged outlets with a photo.
  • Approved by you. Nothing is booked until you agree the scope and the price.
  • Logged beside your cleaning. Each electrical job sits in the same app, with dates and photos.

About commercial electrical work

Questions about commercial electrical work.

What facility managers ask before booking an electrician through us.

Ask us a question
Are your commercial electricians licensed in Victoria?

Yes. Every electrician Emera sends holds a current Victorian electrical licence and works under a registered electrical contractor, as Victorian law requires. When the work needs one, you get a copy of the Certificate of Electrical Safety.

Our app holds each electrician's licence and insurance, and warns us 30 days before either expires.

Do you offer planned electrical maintenance?

Yes. Emera can send a licensed electrician on a schedule you set to check lighting, test safety switches and work through your fault list.

Each visit is logged in our app with photos. Any repair beyond the agreed checks is priced for you to approve before it's done.

Can you help with urgent repairs?

Yes. For an urgent repair, call Emera rather than sending the form, and tell us what's happened. We find the first licensed tradesperson who can come, and tell you when they'll arrive before we book them.

An urgent job is logged in our app like any other, with photos and a report when the work is done.

Can you work before we open or after we close?

Yes. Emera books cleaning and trade work around your opening hours, early in the morning, in the evening or on a weekend, so we stay out of the way of your customers and staff.

If a job needs the power or water off, or makes noise or fumes, we agree the time with you before we book it.

How do you price trade and maintenance jobs?

Emera prices each trade or maintenance job on what it involves, including labour, materials, access and the time of day the work is done. Small jobs can be priced from your photos, and bigger ones start with a site visit.

You get the scope and price in writing before any work starts. If we find more once we're on site, we stop and agree the extra with you before going on.
